Manage your layers this winter
Many players would rather freeze than have their swing restricted by clothing. However, by wearing layers correctly you can still be warm and enjoy your round of golf. Here is how to manage your layers:
Base-layer - polo shirt - sweater/lined sweater/slipover - windshirt or waterproof
The opposite clothing issue in the winter is wearing too many layers. By putting lots of layers on you reduce the amount of body turn you can produce and often end up disconnected, reducing your swing speed which means shorter and more wayward shots. Learn to control your layers this winter and enjoy better golf.

Sat 21 Nov - Louis Covell won Saturday's Bogey Bisque with a score of 4 up, with Louis' handicap being reduced to 14. Crispian Logue finished second with 3 up, Bill Coll was third with 2 up beating Mark Watkins on a card play-off. There were only six twos on Saturday, worth £15.50 each.
Sun 22 Nov - Sunday's Pro's Stableford was won by Andy White with 37 points. Andy has had a great year and is really enjoying his golf; he now has his sights on getting down to single figures. John Schofield was second with 36 points and third was Anthony Phillips with 35 points beating John Devenney on countback.
Wed 25 Nov - Bill Coll won Wednesday's Stableford with 36 points, ahead of Brian Cole, George Richardson and Mike Radcliffe all on 35 points. There were only two twos, worth £11.50 each.
