Hello golfers, 

 

The swing studio is now equipped with the latest PING fitting equipment and demo irons. We have both heads and shafts for all current products in irons, including the new I series and GMax products. Heads and shafts are interchangeable within seconds, so I don't know how many different combinations of clubs we have for you to try, but I know it's a hell of a lot! With the information from the GC2 and my knowledge of the golf swing, I am confident you couldn't receive a more accurate or impartial fitting than you can here. 

Using the GC2 simulator, you can try the demos on the range, on the course and compare them to your existing clubs. In the last four days I have custom fitted three people for new sets of clubs. Each player hit the correctly fitted clubs at least one club further than with their old outdated ones! Come and see what new and correctly fitted clubs can do for you. 

Some members have not yet experienced our new facility. Whether it's a lesson, a club fitting or you would like to hire the room for practice it's absolutely brilliant! So come along and check it out. 

 

Sales This Year

Thank you for being so supportive, buying things and using your account credit so eagerly this season! Quite often people ask how sales figures compare to previous years so I will be honest and tell you that sales have increased every year I have been here so far, and this year (I think helped by the addition of the new swing studio and my excellent assistant Abbie) they have increased again. The swing studio has been a big investment and I am absolutely delighted that I made this as I am so positive about the future here at Reddish Vale. 

Thank you to the vast majority of members who spend their account credit promptly. This allows me to turn the stock quickly and continue selling new and exciting products. This year the credit held on account has fallen by nearly 30% so I am delighted that the vast majority of people are having no problems parting with it, and are now spending faster than they are earning. 


 

Assistant News by Abbie

Yesterday I attended my Induction for the PGA at Bolton Golf Club. I spent 8 hours learning about what the course entails, my role within the PGA and what is needed of me to become a good professional. I am looking forward to starting my PGA in October and being a part of the PGA. 


 

Results 

Saturday's exchange day with Bramall Park Golf Club must be one of the most successful exchanges yet. They sent 118 players here, we sent 113 players there. Everybody seemed very happy and the Bramall Park members were most complimentary about the course in general, and in particular the speed and condition of the greens. I was surprised by how many of their members had never played here before but most of these said they had heard good things and were looking forward to it. They played a 2 from 4 to count stableford and 79 points was the best score I heard of. 

In return I know that our members enjoyed Bramhall Park, and the general comments have been that there are a few good holes and that the whole place was well manicured and that the excellent condition of the tees was noticed.

Bramhall Park had produced their own score card box. 

My Sunday/Monday Pro's Running Stableford was won by Steve Brown with a huge 44 points. Steve who plays of 11 shot a lifetime best 72 gross and won by five points. There are still a few weeks to go and the overall Wednesday golfer of the year is still being contested between David Hamilton and Ryan Jackson with David currenty in the lead. 

Upcoming Competition(s)

Next Weekend is the Victory Trophy/Club Champs/Seniors Champ and the draw will be done online like previous week's. You can enter the draw on How did I do, on the PSI (in the corridor) or with us in the pro shop, all entries must be made by Wednesday as the draw will be done on Thursday.
