Plenty of players on Tour are choosing to wear these shoes; they are a stylish shoe and are extremely comfy! Two pairs went the first day they arrived but there is still a good selection of colours and sizes left.

My lesson diary is going mad; sorry to those I have had to turn away this week but the diary is so full at the moment I could just do with some more hours in the day. This is without the appointments for the new Swing Room! I have one space for a lesson on Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm and after that Thursday next week. So if you'd like a lesson please contact me in the shop ASAP.
For those who are still wondering what the Swing Room actually does, here is a bit more information. The swing room has a GC2 launch monitor which photographs the first few inches of the golf ball's flight, and from this, after a few simple calculations, it knows exactly what the outcome of the shot will be. The flight is then projected onto the screen for you to see. It gages exact distance, spin rates, clubhead speed and many more bits of information which can all be used to improve your game.
You can book lessons with me in the room or be perfectly custom-fitted for new clubs. Prices of lessons in the Swing Room are exactly the same as the current prices that are not in the Swing Room. You can also hire the room; you may wish to practice or you might want to play on one of the 20+ courses including Pebble Beach, Carnoustie, Sunningdale and many more. The GC2 is the most accurate and advanced system on the market and with the best graphics. Sorry Houldsworth isn't on there as somebody asked me this week!
Introductory hire rate
£10 - 30 minutes
£16 - 60 minutes
In addition, during April I am offering every member of Reddish Vale a FREE 10 minute tour/tutorial of the Swing Room. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Cross Country - Next Saturday is my Pro's Cross Country competition which is perhaps the most fun competition of the year. This is also the final event in what is a closely contested winter order of merit. Paul Wade is the current leader with Duncan Cheslett in hot pursuit. Next week Abbie and I shall be designing this year's course and, as always, we shall try to devise something a little different. Some of you may already have accidentally discovered some cross country routes of your own! If you have any suggestions please email back and let us know - but do remember that not everyone will be wearing a tin hat on the day. The Cross Country is truly unique and one not to miss!
And on Sunday we go onto British Summer time and the golf season is under way!
Captains' Drive-In - It isn't long now until Allan Duffy and Sheila Brookes drivein to start their captaincy. They will drive in on Sunday, 29 March at 1.00pm with the shotgun starting at 1.30pm. If you wish to play in the shotgun the sheet is up on the board. We hope to see you all there showing your support to our new Captains.
Sat 14 Mar - Saturday's comp was an American Foursomes where Tony Barnes and John Schofield had the best score of the day with 66-6=60; you will be pleased to know both Tony and John have reduced their handicap by one shot. There were three groups tied on 65, but finishing fourth on countback was Mike Radcliffe and Phil Houghton with 71-6=65. There was 10 twos, worth £11.00 per team.
Sun 15 Mar - Sunday's Pro's Stableford was won by Joshua Tunnicliffe with 36 points, this was Josh's first victory in the pro's comps and I am sure it will be the first of many. Graham Sutherland finished second with 35 points. Scott Millington was third with 35 points and Ian Cowlard finished fourth with 35 points also. Click here for the full results.
Wed 18 Mar - We had a glorious day on Wednesday for the Pro's Stableford; it was almost too hot to have any base-layers on.
