Past Captain’s Trophy Jack Crowther said ‘I’m playing well at the moment’ when he signed in on Saturday. This proved to be the case as Jack went on to win The Past Captain’s prize with a score of 82-16=66. Paul Wheelton finished 2nd with 69-2=67 on countback from Colin Barr in 3rd and Nathan Aspinall also with a net 67. Ryan Jackson’s 69 wins best gross on countback from Paul Wheelton. ‘Beware the injured golfer’ Andy Moss wins the over 55’s gross with a 77 on countback from Vaughan Stott. Well played Andy your foot must be improving!
Wednesday Section medal – Wednesday 24th June This is last week’s result due to different timing of newsletters at the moment; Division One - Trevor Bate - 74-8=66. Division Two - Nathan Aspinall - 79-12=67.
I don’t think we will see Nathan (apart from on the telly throwing darts) for a while as the world of darts resumes but without the cheering, or the jeering. Division Three - Cole Parkinson - 77-16=61.
A great score for quickly improving Cole who is aged 13.
Pro’s Stableford
Alistair Nadin is back on form and won Sunday’s Stableford with 39 points. After some confusion with players entering their score in the markers column and not column ‘A’, the results can be seen here. While we mark our own cards at the moment, please enter your own score in player A’s column if you didn’t know! Don’t forget the last Pro’s Stableford each month is a qualifier. There were only two twos on Sunday, so well done to Mark Watkins and Richard Howard who won £20.50 each.
