Presentation meeting

Well done to the Captain for the way he conducted what was a very enjoyable meeting on Saturday. The meeting was well-attended and there was much positive energy from golfers young, middle-aged and some quite old.

The Junior team were presented with the D&C league trophy, Joe Dolan received The Reddish Vale Trophy and Andy Hart was presented with The Victory Trophy to name a few.

August individual stableford

The weather played its part on what was quite a decent day, but with one heavy downpour that required a suspension of play for half an hour. If you hear the claxon it is worth a tee peg to mark your ball in the event that we can resume play as was the case here. The afternoon players had no rain and good conditions and we had some good scores.

1st. Steve Burden 40 points – Well done Steve I’m glad your custom fit golf clubs are working well!

2nd. Ryan Jackson 37 points (cpo) – Ryan’s back nine included four straight birdies on 13, 14, 15 and 16.

3rd. Daniel Myers 37 points – This reduced Daniel’s handicap to 4 so Daniel has halved his handicap from 8 this season.
