100 Club

If you are not yet winning cash on the 100 club draw it could be because you are not in it? If you would like to be in the draw we have the forms in The Pro Shop so that you can enter. It costs £10 per entry per month and you will have seen Dave’s emails announcing the lucky winners.

Juniors – Derbyshire & Cheshire League at Styal

This was the juniors first league match. There are seven teams in the league with each club hosting a day which all seven teams play in. A team consists of up to six players combining each team’s best three nett scores and their best three gross scores. It is fair to say things went well.

Harry Darby (Reddish Vale of course) won first nett with a 64, Luke Parkinson (RV) won second nett with a 67, and Daniel’s nett 76 was our other counting score which puts us comfortably top of the league after one event.

Busy season ahead!

The juniors have lots of events organised for this year.

They have the remaining six league matches and have been drawn at home to Ringway in the next round of the BMW knockout. The draw has not yet been done for next round of the D&C knockout. The juniors also have their own series of internal junior comps in the summer holidays and have numerous junior Opens.

Daniel's county update...

Daniel has the Cheshire under 14’s matches and his next match is on Sunday at Bramhall Park.

Daniel played well in his last outing, but lost his match at the 17th hole at Royal Liverpool last Sunday. It was windy and Daniel said he would have benefitted from having played the course before (it was his opponent’s home club) but he still enjoyed the course and it is all good experience.

Club Matches

Unfortunately things did not go our way this week. We were knocked out of The Dunham Trophy by Pleasington on Friday evening 4 ½ - 2 ½. Dean Martin and Kane McCumesky won their point and by the time Ryan Jackson reached the 20th hole in his game it was too dark to play and the match was already confirmed so they called it a halve. Thanks to all who played, and special thanks to Abbie who dosed herself up with pain killers and played one of their assistant pro’s, losing at the last to a birdie 3.

Sunday’s Archie Preston match was a close affair but unfortunately we ended up going down 4-3.
