The latest from PING!

PING has launched a completely new range this week with the new G410 to go alongside their already wide range of equipment.

The G410 is receiving fantastic product reviews which you can see online, or better still borrow our demos and see for yourself. The irons have a slightly smaller head yet they have maintained its high forgiveness. For amazing performance and correct fitting you know where to come.

And in case you were wondering the G400 range continues throughout 2019, the prices remain exactly the same but at a lower price point than the 410; so we can fit you for these no problem.

Is change good?

If you change your clubs every year you probably wouldn’t notice much difference between the performances of new clubs.

But if you are still using clubs like PINGs from yesteryear such as G2, G5, G10, G15 or G20 I am sure you will notice the benefits of upgrading now.

Blue Tees

We will be out on the course setting out the new blue tee markers from holes 6 to 12 this afternoon, ahead of Sunday’s junior competition. The blue tee course is designed to make the course easier by reducing the distances and especially some of the carries; these can be used by anybody who wants to use them. The blue markers require little or no maintenance because they are flush with the ground so the mowers will pass straight over them.

Presentation

Remember the winter presentations are at 5.00 and the next one is tomorrow. If you are a lucky winner please turn up wearing jacket and tie to receive your awards from The Captain. Entries have been absolutely excellent recently, and a total of 122 players on Saturday 12th January must be something of a winter record; we often get fewer players in the middle of summer. Needless to say the voucher values are higher so the vouchers are more than worth turning up for.

Studio news

No matter the weather...

Thanks to the swing studio we have been busy with lessons, golfers from various clubs hiring the swing studio and lots of people booking club fittings, despite the foul weather outside. In the past we would have cancelled these bookings, but now with our top of the range indoor swing studio we can be available all year round, whatever the weather.

Coming soon: Callaway Epic Flash

This time two years ago, we were sitting here in fascination as Callaway introduced Jailbreak Technology for the very first time. Safe to say that the Epic driver was exactly that - epic - and produced major distance gains for the majority of golfers who were custom fitted for one. Fast forward to now and Callaway is bringing Epic Flash to market, which they say has a 'radically different face design' that will promote faster ball speeds and, in turn, greater distance.
