PING G30
New G30's - selling very well indeed and all feedback is good. The fairway woods go 'like a rocket' and noticeably further than previous PINGS. Take my demo's on the course and see for yourself.
Shoe Trade In
Receive £10 for your horrible, minging, old shoes when you trade them in against a new pair! A good range of FootJoy and Hi Tecs are included - most sizes available. See for yourself and try them on.
Motocaddy - Free gifts worth £60
The Motocaddy M series trolley (the one that folds down really small) is a clever piece of kit that won product of the year at last year's national trade show.
Want more space in the boot? The M1 could be the answer - and with a FREE matching rainsafe and travel cover worth a total of £60 you will keep the clubs dry and the boot clean and tidy as well.
£549.99 will buy it and this includes a lithium battery with 5 year warranty - one machine only
How far is it?
I have only two measuring devices left as a result of the £30 OFFclearance. The saving is actually £50 as each unit comes with a free 12 month subscription worth £20!
Hand held device now ONLY £99 and watch £149. Take out the guesswork with a Skycaddie.
Hole In One
Franc Brown aced the 2nd during his Fourball knockout last week; Franc and playing partner Bill Graty won the hole alright, but didn't win the match against Tony Barnes and Andy Hutchison.
The knock outs are getting interesting now with most quarter finals having been played. The deadline for those remaining is Monday 18th August.
Yet another play-off in store as Tony Barnes and Simon Davenport will play for The Norman Pike Trophy. Tony and Simon each scored 79-12=67 on Saturday, two shots ahead of the rest of the field.
No Pro's stableford to tell you about this week due to the course being unplayable on Sunday.
Wednesday started slowly with a mere 7 players entering the stableford by lunch time, but by 5.00 this had risen to 52.
Dave Hamilton must have thought he had won division 1 with an excellent round of golf and 40 points. However this was not the case and Dave only wins the credit for his hole in 2 as Ryan Swift carded an exceptional 41 points off his 3 handicap. Alan Bell won division 2 with 38 points and Ray O'Sullivan division 3 with 37.
Ladies Coaching
Last Sunday's was cancelled due to heavy rain but we will hopefully do better this time.
Group lessons are every Sunday at 12.00 for the next 3 weeks. Please involve any potential lady golfer who can come along and see what it's all about. Thanks to the ladies open day, we have a few new players who are learning the game so now is a good time for others to join in!
Junior Coaching
These sessions are in addition to the 'junior gatherings' on Sundays and take place on Thursday mornings at 10.00. The coaching lasts about an hour, is free of charge and is aimed at children who can go out on the course together for a game after. We had two juniors from this week's session who despite having no waterproofs chose to stay out and play the full course in the rain, and still came in smiling!
