9th hole

The 9th is closed at the moment because it’s having a considerable makeover. The improvements include a new teeing area, improved bunkering and a total revamp of the area behind the green. As you can see from the pictures, the trees behind the green have gone, and gorse is being planted along the boundary instead. Trees and scrub up the left of the hole are being cleared to further enhance the appearance of what is an interesting short hole. We will keep you up to date as progress is made.

8th bunker

You may have noticed that the lip of the left hand bunker on the 8th has been raised and re-shaped so that it has become more visible from the fairway, and has a shape that is synonymous with Alister MacKenzie design. Here is a before and after so you can appreciate the difference.

Last Call for Glenmuir

This is your final call to get your club crested Glenmuir clothing before Christmas. Monday is the cut-off date to guarantee get your crested garments in time for Christmas so get your orders in promptly, please take a look online at their range or check out our brochures in the shop and speak to myself or Abbie to order your clothing.

Junior update

The juniors aren’t afraid of cold weather, with 10 juniors joining us last week for our regular group coaching. This Sunday we will be on the top 5, our first tee time is 1pm so please arrive early to get warmed up and be ready to go out. Remember that it is cold so please wrap up warm.

Paul Bruckshaw claimed the winner's spot with 38 points, closely followed by Chris Byrne (2nd) who beat Jonathon Knight on countback, both with 37 pts.

Dave Hamilton took first place with a fantasti score of 41 pts, Alan Finney (2nd) was close behind, beating Chris Marshall (3rd) on countback, both with 40 pts.
