Greetings golfers,

Welcome back to the weekly newsletter. This week: A very rare occurence takes place in the studio, our loyalty scheme is going strong, we have a way to turn all your old/regrettable golf purchases into cash, and we have our usual update from Abbie and competition news.

We chose the fairly short 13th at Kingbarns which you will recognise when you click on the link below. In what was something of a ‘short hole’, ‘short swing’ challenge, allowing for our aliments, and we only had a few shots each. I was very happy with my best shot which rolled into 2ft 10” which I thought would be good enough to win. But Abbie had other ideas, she found her rhythm and her competitive side once again came out as she beat me with a hole in one.

It is fair to say it certainly brightened up our day and we left the swing studio buzzing.

Turn your bad buys into good money

If you have any unwanted clubs that you don’t get on with, or were just a bad buy, whether you bought them here or not, do not be afraid to bring them in. Perhaps you were not custom fitted or not correctly custom fitted, or perhaps you didn’t try before you bought them or you have simply just fallen out with them, we can still help you.

We will put them on ebay where we do all the work and you get the money on your account. You can then put this money towards new clubs which we correctly fit you for. Turn your bad buys into good money.

Items which we put on ebay go for fair prices so if you have anything you want us to ebay please bring them in.

Abbie's junior update

As some of you may be aware there will be no Junior Coaching on Sunday, instead I have put in place a junior competition every Sunday until further notice.

The competition will be a 12 hole stableford competition for all intermediate pupils and a 5 hole competition for the beginners class – I am unable to go around the course at this time, therefore can all the beginners parents be available to walk around the top 5 and help with marking scorecards etc.

Sunday 15th October will be the first of the competitions and we will have the tee from 1.30pm, can all intermediate’s please be ready to tee off at 1.30pm and all beginners be ready for 2pm. The competition will cost £2 per child and we will presentation the winners with their prizes the following Sunday.

To help organise the tee times please can you let me know whether your child will be able to attend.

Sunday’s Pro’s Stableford

It was Dave Hamilton who took the winner's spot with a fantastic score of 37 pts, Graham Warburton beat Mike Warburton (3rd) to take second place, both with 35 pts, and Ryan Swift claimed fourth after beating Paul Bruckshaw (5ht) on countback, both with 34 pts.
