Scratch Team
The scratch team run by Ian Cowlard are doing well this year, with some great wins and individual performances from the players. Ian currently uses Twitter to update the scores during the matches. If you wish to follow their progress as it happens you can @rvgcscratch and also be sure to follow us on Twitter @Reddishvalegc Ian has particularly enjoyed the excellent spirit the matches have been played in this year and commented that 'for this reason it would almost be a shame if promoted!' Reddish are currently mid table in division 2.
July medal
Vaughan Stott produced the round of the day and won Div 1 with an excellent 69-5=64. Div 2 was won by Bradley Brokenbrow with 77-12=65 and Div 3 was won by Chris Byrne with 90-18=72.
Pro's stableford
Pete Woodfinden is back on form, and scored 3 over par gross (24 points!) on the back nine for a winning total of 40. Lewis Cooper finished second with 38, just pipping Dave Hamilton on countback. Pete Watson is really enjoying his golf and playing well. Pete finished fourth with 37 points using his new Titleist 913 21 degree hybrid. Pete wasn't sure whether to trust one of these 'new-fangled' utility clubs in place of this 3 iron, but took the plunge on Saturday and has since commented on how much easier than a 3 iron it is to hit, and how many times a round he uses it. There are still a couple left for anyone who has not discovered them and is still battling on with that 3 iron.

Only a couple of weeks to go now, and I can tell you that over 40 players are already on the day out. If you are not already down, it's not too late and the list is on the Wednesday section board. If you are not in the Wednesday Section you can join it for £3 and go!
Spot the difference
No more flag waving as you put it back in the hole on 18. Take a look at this new gong that has been supplied by Steve Marsh and which Nick has fitted between the 18th green and 6th tee. The gong has quickly become known as 'Marshy's dinner gong!' and is sounded to indicate the green is clear.
Free PING glove
The PING clothing has proved very popular this year and we have re stocked twice! For anyone who is tempted here is an extra incentive;
Buy any two PING shirts this month and receive a free PING Sensor Tech glove worth £12.00.
Titleist 913 and PING G25 clearance
Most of this product has been snapped up but that game changing bargain could still be there. Have a look at what there is and how much you will save on the previous prices.
And don't forget the Titleists are so adjustable that a 9.5 driver for example, can be reduced to 8 degrees in loft or increased to 11 degrees in loft. A standard 3 wood can become either a strong 3 wood or a 4 wood.
Club Repairs
Any clubs that have broken, or any that have been taught a lesson and you think deserve a second chance - bring them in and I will bring them back to life. I re-shaft all makes of clubs both graphite and steel in addition to re-gripping, lengthening and shortening.
