Presentation - New Prize
The next presentation is on Saturday 3rd June at 6pm. You may notice something a little different with this list of results, as we now have a gross prize for the over 55's. Click here to see who won the new prizes and all of the other prizes including our first two Major winners of 2017.
If you are on the list, please attend the meeting wearing jacket and tie to receive your voucher from The Captain. These are always entertaining occasions and you will also see two major winners receive their trophy.
Titleist AP2 Irons (Forged)
One Set Only - normal price £690, NOW £550 including custom fitting and a gapping session. Receive a FREE gapping session with any new set of irons purchased throughout June.

Gapping session - What is it?
The gapping session takes place in the swing studio and roughly takes 45 minutes. You will find out how far you really hit every club in the bag, you will know the average distance you carry each club, and if you have any gaps in your armoury they will be obvious.
This will help you play the correct club when you are out on the course, as you receive a gapping card to constantly remind you of your yardages as you navigate your way around the course. Oh and you may receive a little tip too.
Please come see us in the shop or click here to book your gapping session.
Past Captain's Trophy
No playoff required this week as Stewart Flint wins the Past Captain's Trophy outright. Stewart played in the last group of the day, played through the worst of the conditions, and Stewart's nett 66 thwarted the in-form Brendan Hawkins' 67 right at the death.
Winner - Stewart Flint - 78-12=66
2nd - Brendan Hawkins - 77-10=67
3rd - Eddie Burke - 85-17=68 (CPO)
4th - Macauley Dentith - 74-6=68 (CPO)
5th - Dave Hamilton - 73-5=68 (CPO)
Two's = £5.85 each.
What do Both Major Winners Have In Common?
Alan Malone played in the second group out at 7.40am when he won the Heyrose Bowl, and Stewart Flint played in the final group at 2.40pm when he won the Past Captain's, so it's not that. Oh yes, I nearly forgot - both players have been recently been fitted for a new Titleist Driver from the Pro Shop! Just a coincidence? I don't think so, being correctly fitted gives you the ultimate advantage and it's hard to put a price on performance.
If you'd like to book a fitting then please click here.
Pro's Running Stableford
Lewis Cooper was on fire, taking first with 40 points, Brian Cole came in second with 39 points and Alan Jones beat Brendan Hawkins on countback for third, both with 38 points. Prizes went down to 6th place.
Two's = £4.46 each. Click here to see the full results.
Wed Sec Stableford
74 people played, there were some good scores and some popular winners. The best score of the day was from John Schofield, a win for Brendan Hawkins and a fine win for Andy Hart whose handicap is on its way back down. There were a total of 10 2's, one of which was recorded by the only player not to enter the 2's competition, so 73d ivided by nine is £8.11 per 2.
Div 1 - John Schofield - 40 points
Div 2 - Brendan Hawkins - 39 points
Div 3 - Andy Hart - 38 points
