Good Practice
I find it irritating watching people practising badly and compounding their faults. Why keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and then spend precious time practising them?
If you suffer with the same regular bad shot - don't become annoyed and frustrated - do something about it. Simply book a golf lesson. You will finally understand how and why, your practice will be time well spent and you will improve.

Putter Grips
Transform the feel of your putter by changing the grip. The thickness of a grip will change the way you hold the putter, and a thicker grip can help you to hold the club lighter, and reduce unwanted wrist action. Lighter hold and improved feel will help with distance control with any length of putt, making your next putt shorter. Reduced wrist action will help you maintain the correct alignment and loft of the clubface when you're over that crucial four footer.
Take a look at our wide range of putter grips which we can fit in a few minutes while you wait. Incidentally, we have seen some truly hideous efforts of fitting putter grips recently, not fully on and hopelessly twisted.
If yours was fitted by a DIY expert or someone with a white stick, please bring it in for inspection before it costs you more missed putts - half a second with a Stanley blade and you will be relieved of it.

Heyrose Bowl - Saturday 20th May
Well done to Alan Malone who has won the first major of 2017. We needed a 3 way playoff to decide the winner after Alan, Wasif Yousaf and Colin Barr all tied on 67 nett. The playoff was arranged swiftly and took place on Tuesday with Alan winning by a single stroke from Wasif.
Alan was most pleased after the victory and came in The Pro Shop to tell me that his new Titleist 917 custom fitted driver was working extremely well and had already won some of its money back (the gold paint on the board is harder to put a value on). Alan said the driver made all the difference, was going further and straighter, and gave far more confidence from the tee. Well done Alan.

2nd - Wasif Yousaf - 77-10=67
