FootJoy Crested Clothing
How nice are these? FootJoy clothing with the Reddish Vale crest! These are the first FootJoys we have had crested, and these garments are exclusive as they can only be ordered in advance and in batches, so it is unlikely there will be any more until next year!
Inner, mid and outer layers, shirts, sweaters, slipovers and wind tops are all in-store now.
The Shop Is Ready To Burst
There is still just about enough room to move in the shop and this week the new PING clothing range has arrived; a different range to the FootJoy, with a mixture of shirts and sweaters etc which look great and are in-store now.

Pro's Cross Country
The Cross Country is a competition like no other and this year's course is a 15 hole, par 60, layout made up of five par 3's, six par 4's, three par 5's and just the one par 6. The format is teams of three, two from three to count and then multiply the stableford scores together. The first hole is 6th tee to 15th green and pictured is play from the 13th hill to the 15th green. There are a couple of variations on previous courses and there is an additional twist which will present another conundrum on the day so good luck with that one!
Thank you for an excellent entry and there is the odd space available for anyone who wishes to play.
Captain's Drive In
Barry Cocksey drives in as Captain, and Mal Woodcock as Lady Captain at 1pm on Sunday. Please come along and support our new Captains, the Drive In is followed by a shotgun start team competition at 1.30pm. The list is on the board in the corridor by the ladies locker room and there are still a few spaces if anyone wishes to play.
I would like to wish Barry and Mal an excellent year ahead, I'd also like to thank Tony Barnes and Jeanette Kinder for their hard work and dedication during first class terms as Captain and Lady Captain.
Saturday's Russian Stableford - 2 from 3 stableford then multiply

Two's = £1.55 ppp2.
OOM
With only one competition left, Geoff Loughlin is the current leader with a 40 point lead over John Schofield. There are still a few people who could snatch the lead. There is an up to date OOM Sheet in the locker room so make sure you check it to see whether you're in with a chance.
Sunday's Pro's Stableford
Rick Dobbins came first with 41 points, closely followed by Bernard Murray in second with 40 points, and in third was Pete Lamb with 39 points (CPO)
Two's = £6.83 ppp2. Click here to see the full results.
Wednesday's Pro's Stableford
Taking the winner's spot was Paddy Weadick with 43 points, in second was Alan Bell with 42 points, and in third was Mike Radcliffe with 41 points.
Hole In One
Well done to Mike Radcliffe who had a hole in one at the 12th in Wednesday's Stableford. You probably know that Mike suffered a most unexpected heart attack whilst on holiday last year, so it is good that Mike has recovered well and is playing good golf again. This is Mike's sixth hole in one, after three at the fourth and two at the ninth over the years. Mike changed back to a set of Callaway's last year and the ace came with a well struck 5 iron into the wind. Mike said he was pleased to get one at the 12th and glad he 'can still do it after a heart attack'. Mike wins half of the 2's pot on the day.
