Pro's Christmas Draw
Thank you to Lady Captain and Sheila Cowlard for assisting with this year's Christmas Draw, and no there were no lady winners this time. John Schofield won the star prize so congratulations to John who is seen here with his new Motocaddy electric trolley, out for the first time in Wednesday's stableford. John commented that not having to push a trolley made walking up the 18th a pleasure!

The next indoor junior golf coaching will be on Saturday 22nd January, from 2pm-3pm. This event will be slightly different as it will be a junior vs parent's competition. There are 10 spaces on each team available. Spaces are on a first come first serve basis. It will cost £4 per person and there will be a trophy at the end for the winning team.
The Great Escape
Wasif Yousaf had a very lucky escape on Wednesday, when his trolley decided to go over the edge and disappeared over the precipice on the 15th above the river. You would have expected to find Was's clubs and trolley some 30 yards lower down in the river, but much to Was's delight this was not the case. The trolley was stopped in its tracks by the trunk of a large tree which it crashed directly into, and well done Andy White who managed to recover it.
Hole in One
Dave Sanders' hole in one spree resumed on New Year's Eve as Dave holed a 7 wood at the 6th for his fifth hole in one. Dave's hole in one record is quite remarkable and I don't know what the astronomical chances of it would be. Three holes in one in five months in 2015 and left it late but just managed another in 2016.
