Bushnell has long been regarded as the number one rangefinder in golf. Not only because of its fantastic reputation, but because of how accurate and easy-to-use the products are. Here's a breakdown of the ones that are available in store:
V3 Jolt - £199
You look through this laser range finder, aim the cross at the target and press the button. The range finder bounces a laser off what you aimed at - such as a flag - and displays how far you are away from it.
A steady hand is usually necessary but the Jolt technology steadies the unit for you.
One unit only at this price, and it's a white one.
Neo Ghost - £109
This is a handheld GPS device fits in your pocket and comes with around 35,000 pre-loaded courses.
The device shows you the yardages to the front, middle and back of the green.
Neo Ion - £139
A bit like the Ghost but comes in the form of a watch which has additional functions
Both of the Neo devices come pre-loaded. There is no downloading, no additional fees and no subscriptions. Once charged, you simply switch it on and it knows exactly where you are and how far it is to the front, middle and back of the first green.

Know the distance to the target
Know your average distance with each club - select the right club
Execute the shot
I can help you with all three. I'm offering HALF PRICE gapping sessions for anyone who buys a Bushnell product in August. This is where you play shots with each club on the GC2 simulator, and the GC2 measures the carry of every shot and creates an average with each club. We input the figures on a gapping card, laminate it and attach it you your bag.

The stage 1 coaching for 5-8 year olds is now full with no more spaces available. However, the stage 2 class for nine years and over has a few spots available:
Stage 1 - 1pm until 2pm - £2 per child
Stage 2 - 3pm until 5pm - £3 per child
Please make sure you contact us in the shop to guarantee your child's place. I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
Thank you to all players who competed in our first 9-hole qualifier on Friday evening, Chris Roberts winning with 19 points. Chris said he was delighted to win, and commented that it could have been better as he didn't score on two of the holes. Chris is currently playing off 21, but improving quickly and feels his target of an 18 handicap is within reach. I would agree and I am certain Chris will be a lot lower than that given time.
Well done to Ryan Jackson who was victorious in The Jubilee Trophy. Ryan (pictured below) had rounds of 70, 72, 72 & 75 for a 289 total, winning by one from Steve Booth. Ryan said that his final round wasn't going too well by his standards and he found himself about 7-over-par after the 14th. Credit to him that he remained focussed, played every shot and managed a couple of birdies on the final straight to win by one.
The Wednesday section's first major of the year was the Frank Brown Shield. There will have a play-off for first between Mike Oates and Gareth Jones who both had excellent scores of 68 nett. Thank you to Mike Radcliffe who kindly brought in the second picture above. It shows the 2.00 Wednesday section from a number of years ago which played for many years. In the centre is Frank Brown, who created this event. From left to right, here are the names of the section: Dave Tudor, Steve Pearce, Jeff Watson, Phil Frankland, Frank Brown, Mike Radcliffe, Ian Britton, Carl Buckley and Brian Kay.
Exchange Day this Saturday with Ashton U-Lyne. Don't forget to turn up at Ashton Under Lyne Golf Club, not here.
