Hello golfers,
Know your distances
On days like today the swing studio really comes into its own. It has been booked up since 10am until 4pm, with lessons and people hiring the room out.
For those that haven't been in the swing studio, you don't know what you are missing.
- You can play courses such as: Royal Troon (venue for The Open 2016), Carnoustie, Royal Birkdale, Schaumburg, Oakmont, Celtic Manor and many more.
- You can play the course; have Nearest the pins/Longest Drives.
- You can practice on the range.
- You can hit any club from lob wedge to driver; you will learn your swing speed, see your ball flight, know your yardages and won't even have to pick the balls up.
If you are unsure how to use it don't worry, we will show you everything you need to know plus there is a guide on the wall next to the computer to help you out.
Contact us in The Pro Shop or click here to make your booking and see for yourself.
Lessons
I know you all want to play better golf, so book regular golf lessons and see the difference. Thankfully with the help of modern technology such as a GC2 and an ipad, you can see for yourself exactly how you improve, and you will see the proof in the images, numbers and ball flight.
I can record your swing, slow it down and show you certain areas of your swing which helps you to understand a lot more. From this I can email you videos of your lesson and we can see how you are progressing throughout the season.
Make the most of the 6 for the price of 5 offer on all lessons. Click here to book yours.
Hole in one's
Saturday produced a real rarity, the first time I have known two holes in one in the same competition; and they also both came at the 4th.
John Wright pictured below (grey jumper) produced yet another hole in one, as he holed in 22 degree hybrid on the 4th; John has had 2 holes in one last year and this one takes his total up to 4!
Paddy Weadick (pictured above with his green cap) holed his 7 iron at the 4th some six hours later; Paddy played his ball down the right and watched as the bank gave a friendly bounce and the ball rolled into the hole.
As you probably know, a hole in one receives a half of the 2's pot. In this case, the 50% allocated for a hole in one is divided so that John and Paddy each receive 25% of the pot (£32.00). Otherwise, we would have a 2's competition with nothing for a '2'!
