Hello golfers,

February already...

It certainly doesn't feel like February too us in the shop, we are really busy with lessons, custom fittings and gapping sessions in the Swing Studio. Sorry if we had to turn you away this week due to how busy the diary is but I do recommend that you book well in advance to save disappointment as the diary is pretty full for next week as well. We are only weeks away from the new golf season, now really is the time to be thinking about your equipment and your game in hope to have the best season possible to reach your goals.


 

Improving upon perfection? 

During this morning's lesson Andy Mackenzie produced a piece of magic. The 17th hole at Sunningdale Country Club is a lovely par 3 with a green that slopes from left to right, and also from back to front. Andy was warming up hitting 7 irons when he hit the perfect shot which rolled down the slope and into the hole for an ace! Andy is the second person to hole in one on the GC2, with Steve Cole being the first a few months ago.

Phil Houghton, Andy White and Marc Singleton were the victorious trio in Saturdays 5 Club Texas Scramble with a score of 47.9, beating Adam Stott, Ryan Jackson and Andy Hutchison on a card play-off. 

Sunday's Pro's Stableford (Jan 31st) was won by Richard Howard with 37 points. Richard beat Josh Tunnicliffe on a card play-off. There was only 1 two on Sunday, worth £12.00. Click here to see the results sheet. 

Don Roberts won Wednesday's Pro's Stableford (Wed 3rd) with 33 points, Don has been on good form recently, and is leading the DAT (Don, Adam & Tommo) Cup. Alan Finney finished second also on 33 points beating Ian Doyle and Wasif Yousaf on a card play-off. There were two 2's each worth £11.00. Click here to see the results.


 

Grips 

More grips are now instore ready to re- grip your clubs for the 2016 season. The grip is the only contact you have with the club so make sure it is a good one, and not a slippy one. Give yourself the best chance with each shot you play. There are various Grip Sizes, so make sure you are using the correct one by coming in and having your hand measured.
