Abbie at The Belfry
This week Abbie has been at the PGA National Training Academy at The Belfry. This was Abbie's first year course and I am sure she has really enjoyed it. She will have learnt some new things and I am sure she will be delighted to tell you about it next week… Trying to remember, yes I think my first year residential was in 1998. I can remember it quite well, and I can also remember it was the first time I paid over £4 for a pint too! I suppose having the Ryder Cup there so often must have helped back then; Abbie tells me they are cheaper now!

We have a loft and lie machine in the back room if you didn't know, so we can measure your exact spec and then adjust your existing clubs if they are wrong. And we have got the machine that does both right and left handed!
Correct lie angle = less side spin = straighter shots

Sat 9 Jan - Ali Cairns, Joe Walsh and Tony Foster won Saturday's three-man team competition with 75. Conditions were very wet but we just about played and there was a good field on the day. The winter Order of Merit is starting to look interesting - the top 30 can be seen below.
Sun 10 Jan - Graham Sutherland won Sunday's Stableford with an exceptional 38 points. Graham must have found a good rhythm on the day and commented the success was thanks to 'not trying to whack it'! Click here for the full results.
Wed 13 Jan - Ryan Jackson shot 5-under-par for 15 holes to win Wednesday's Stableford with 36 points, and only just from Mike Radcliffe on countback. There are two players that are finding some form again. Click here to read all prize winners and 2s values.
January Sale?
It's time to clear out the PING G30s, so come along and get a bargain. Moving on...
It is safe to say that the past 18 months have been hugely successful for the PING brand. Here are the heads which have come with a selection of shafts that are interchangeable; so with these and the benefit of the GC2 I can give you the most accurate fitting possible.
