Sunday's Pro's Stableford was won by Dave Hamilton with 34 points. Dave has certainly got plenty of golf in this year and is now a very steady category 1 player. Dave added to his armoury of clubs a couple of weeks ago as Dave came for a driver fitting and replaced a Callaway with a Titleist 915 which he hits great. In fact Dave has finished 3rd, 1st and 2nd in his last three comps since the investment. Dave has commented he has felt far more confident with the driver and is hitting straighter and further. Second was Chris Byrne with 33 points. Prizes went to 4th place.
Mike Radcliffe won Wednesday's stableford with 32 points; It was a good maiden voyage for Mike's new Callaway Big Bertha irons he bought last week. Yes I do supply Callaways and any other manufacturer for that matter! Mike's Callaways are 3 degrees flatter than standard, and after the round Mike said 'he felt like his old self again'. The Callaways are certainly far more forgiving than the forged Mizuno's he traded in.
So well done Mike, good to see you're playing well again.
Pro's Running Stableford
Next weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday I will be running a stableford. You can enter more than once.

Round up of 2015
Swing Studio
The new swing studio opened at the start of the season. It was a mammoth task to complete it last winter and I am so pleased with the result. It has made a huge difference to the facilities here, feels like a brand new start and has enabled me to expand my services to you. You can now benefit from unbeatable custom fittings, coaching and amazing technology whatever the weather.
The final date for the FREE introductions to the swing room is December 31st so be quick if you don't want to miss out! 'Once you are in there it's brilliant!'
For your interest, please take a look at a few pictures of the before, during and after of the swing studio here… Can you recognise it?

My personal favourite - Abbie Cowlard (pictured here) won the County Championship at Delamere Forest!
The scratch team has had another good season under the mentorship of Ian Cowlard. Far from being 'just a quizmaster' Ian has put much effort and time, not to mention money into the scratch team over the last couple of seasons and there is a restored pride in wearing the crested shirts that Ian provided. Ian is also now the scratch league secretary, as he has taken over from John Pacey.
Steve Cole was the first to have a hole in one on the GC2.
Gary Inman was appointed our new Steward.
The Christmas Draw
The Christmas draw is filling up, if you haven't already come in and get your squares.
Are your Clubs too heavy?
Some of the most common problems I come across are caused by players using clubs that are too heavy. Shafts that are too heavy reduce club head speed so shortens distance, and all too often leads to the dreaded sway, and all the problems and bad habits that manifest from it; giving the appearance that the club is actually swinging the player! Finding clubs that are right for you is so important. Finding the right shafts for you will improve your game dramatically; you will be more consistent, have a better ball flight, better body turn and improve your club head speed.
